When I was sick for 2 weeks in 2023,
I decided to spend what little time I had between extraordinarily long naps embarking on designing my own enamel pin.
my process
It  started a doodle in the corner of some math homework.
The pin was drawn and designed in Procreate, finalised up in Adobe Illustrator, and manufactured by a company in China.

It intentionally features hard enamel for durability & 2 deluxe clasps on the back of each pin so it will never fall off. In other words, I intended this pin to be travelled with.
I also included a small easter egg: a coffee bean is revealed when the pin is removed from the backing!
The card is designed by me using a combination of assets from Canva, within Adobe Illustrator and printed by the UNSW Print Shop on satin cardstock.
my motivation
My motivation was to have a personal token to share with family and the friends acquired on my travels to remember me by.
My pin is firmly attached to bags in Australia, Poland, Spain...
my inspiration
The character, Sir Snoozealot, is my personal reimagining of a plushie who has been with me for many years — a truly wise and noble knight.
He drinks a cappuccino, my favourite drink, from a large blue mug. Its a specific experience I have fond memories of.
